1 Killed in Merced Pedestrian Crash on Highway 59
MERCED, CA (June 21, 2020) – Saturday morning, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Highway 59 in Merced.
According to reports, the southbound big rig traveling on Highway 59 near Vassar saw a man in the middle of the road.
The driver tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian. However, he was unsuccessful and struck the pedestrian.
Afterward, the big rig stopped at the scene, and has been cooperative with the investigators since.
The investigators continue to find the reason why the victim was walking on the road.
