1 Killed in Sunnyvale Pedestrian Accident on Fair Oaks Avenue
SUNNYVALE, CA (January 15, 2020) – A person died in a pedestrian accident on Fair Oaks Avenue and Eden Avenue on January 13.
At around 7:43 p.m., the officers from the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety came to Fair Oaks Avenue and South Eden Avenue upon reports of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. When they arrived, they found an adult male down on the road. They transported him to a local hospital. However, the man died at the hospital.
The police are still investigating the crash. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene and helped with the investigation. Authorities do not suspect the driver of DUI. The car traveled in the northbound lanes of Fair Oaks Avenue when the collision happened.
Moreover, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office didn’t release the victim’s identity due to pending family notification. The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is spearheading the investigation.
