PHOENIX, AZ (November 20, 2019) – A person died in a pedestrian accident on 17 Freeway on November 18.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the pedestrian reportedly walked into the northbound lanes of 17 Freeway near Jomax Road.
 
The HOV lane remained open while troopers worked at the scene.
 
Police did not release any additional information regarding the fatal pedestrian accident on 17 Freeway at this time. However, an investigation is ongoing.
