WINSLOW, AZ (May 16, 2024) – On Wednesday, a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 near State Route 99 killed one person.

The incident happened on Interstate 40, near State Route 99.

According to the DPS, the crash involved five vehicles, including some commercial vehicles.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that at least one person died in the incident.

Furthermore, the crash closed the left westbound lane at milepost 248 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Arizona DPS continued to investigate the crash.
