1 Person Dead in Costa Mesa Multi-Vehicle Accident on 405 Freeway near Harbor Boulevard

COSTA MESA, CA (November 21, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a fatal multi-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway near Harbor Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway near Harbor Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol said that the crash involved as many as seven vehicles.

Authorities confirmed that a man in his 50s died in the crash.

The incident closed all lanes of 405 Freeway but has long since reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified. 

Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
