Woman Killed in Santa Cruz County Multi-Vehicle Crash
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (August 29, 2019) – An 80-year-old woman succumbed to death in a multi-vehicle crash on 30th Avenue on August 26.
The unidentified woman traveled north in a 2011 Toyota Prius on 30th Avenue near Lewis Circle at around 1:51 p.m.
According to the CHP officials, she let her vehicle went off the road and crashed into a garbage can on the right shoulder of 30th Avenue.
The vehicle continued going off the road until it struck three parked vehicles and a mailbox. This crash damaged the fourth parked vehicles. A 1957 Chevrolet is one of the parked vehicles.
The woman died at 2:20 p.m. and until now, the authorities don’t know the cause of her death.
Authorities are still investigating the crash. The police also ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision.
