Motorcyclist Killed in Accident with SUV near Moulton Parkway

 
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (June 6, 2018) – On Wednesday morning, a motorcycle collision on Crown Valley Parkway claimed the life of a rider and injured another motorist.
 
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened around 9:45 AM at the intersection of Crown Valley Parkway and Golden Lantern/ Moulton Parkway. For unknown reasons, a motorcyclist collided with an SUV. There are no details on the events leading up to the collision.
 
Firemen arrived at the scene and attempted to perform life-saving techniques on the rider before he was transported to a hospital. The unidentified man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead while on the way to a local hospital. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries but it was unspecified if hospitalization was needed.
 
Speed is suspected to be a factor in this fatal incident, as stated by the OCSD major accident reconstruction team. Authorities are also trying to determine if drugs or alcohol were involved. No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
