1 Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Accident
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 9, 2019) – A person died in a motorcycle accident on Bernard Street on August 6.
Police did not release many details regarding the accident at the time. However, police reported the incident at 12:10 p.m. on Bernard Street just west of Cunha Street.
According to CHP, the driver traveled “at a high rate of speed” and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The rider then struck a raised curb and slid on the sidewalk before crashing into a chain-link fence.
Responders transported the male rider to Kern Medical where he succumbed to his injuries.
