1 Killed in Stockton Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway

 
STOCKTON, CA (August 20, 2019) – A person died in a hit-and-run accident on 5 Freeway on August 19 in Stockton.
 
The authorities received reports of a body in the northbound lanes of 5 Freeway near Hammer Lane just before 4:00 a.m.
 
The CHP confirmed that the hit-and-run driver didn’t stop after hitting the unidentified pedestrian
 
It’s still unclear why the pedestrian was in the road.
 
The incident shut down two lanes for two hours as officers investigated. All lanes have now reopened. However, police did not release any additional information regarding the accident at this time.
