1 Person Dead in Los Angeles Motorcycle Accident on South Avenue 20 and North Broadway

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2024) – Saturday morning, a fatal hit-and-run crash on South Avenue 20 and North Broadway killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 7:40 a.m. at South Avenue 20 and North Broadway.

According to Los Angeles Police Department Officer J. Chaves, a vehicle ran a red light and struck a male motorcyclist for still unknown reasons. Then, a second vehicle struck the motorcyclist who was already down on the pavement. Also, both drivers fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the LAPD continued to investigate the crash.
