1 Person Dead in Phelan Auto Accident on Phelan Road and Windermere Road

PHELAN, CA (December 18, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a fatal hit-and-run crash on Phelan Road and Windermere Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on Phelan Road and Windermere Road.

Reports said that the crash involved two vehicles, including a hit-and-run driver.

Authorities confirmed that one person died in the crash.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol officials spotted a suspect and started a chase. Officers managed to stop the suspect vehicle using a PIT maneuver at Capelin and Mesquite roads. Authorities detained the driver, pending charges.
