LIVERMORE, CA (September 24, 2024) – Saturday night, a fatal hit-and-run crash on Interstate 580 near First Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:20 p.m. on Interstate 580 near First Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman jumped or rolled out of the passenger seat of an eastbound black 2018 Audi. Then, multiple vehicles struck the woman who was already down on the pavement.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 24-year-old woman, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Audi fled the scene after the crash, but was later arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
