Javier Dominguez Ramirez Arrested after Fatal Hit-And-run Crash on Highway 4 in Discovery Bay

Discovery Bay, CA (November 23, 2023) – On Wednesday, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 4.

The California Highway Patrol Contra Costa reported the arrest of an Antioch man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run earlier this month that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Highway 4 near Discovery Bay. 

Javier Dominguez Ramirez, 32, allegedly struck a pedestrian on westbound Highway 4 on Nov. 11 and failed to stop, fleeing the scene.

Medical personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene due to fatal injuries.

Ramirez has been booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of felony hit-and-run and is currently held on a $50,000 bail, as stated by CHP.
