1 Dead in San Diego Car Crash on 5 Freeway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 29, 2019) – A person got struck and killed in a crash on 5 Freeway and Clairemont Drive on November 28.
 
At about 12:45 a.m., authorities received a report from a person in an Uber saying that they got involved in a collision heading north on 5 Freeway just south of Clairemont Drive.
 
The incident shut down all northbound lanes during the investigation. By 1:18 a.m., the lanes reopened.
 
A video from the scene indicated a black BMW sedan with major roof and front windshield damage.
