RICHMOND, CA (October 08, 2019) — One person died after an accident on 80 Freeway near the Carlson Boulevard Sunday morning in Richmond.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved multiple vehicles including a motorcycle. It occurred in the westbound lanes of the freeway at about 11:53 a.m.
 
The CHP issued a Sig Alert after the crash. They closed the westbound lanes of the 80 Freeway while the scene was processed. All lanes reopened at 1:43 p.m.
 
The officers have not released further information on the identity of the victim. However, the investigation is ongoing.
