Fatal Car Crash on Highway 395 [Independence, CA]

Woman Killed in Independence Car Crash

 
INDEPENDENCE, CA (August 22, 2019) – A woman died in a car crash on Highway 395 on August 17.
 
Police did not release much information regarding the accident at this time. However, the incident occurred just before 6:00 p.m. near the town of Independence. According to police, a wrong-way SUV crashed with and into a pickup truck.
 
The collision ended with a semi-truck jack-knifing to avoid the collision.
 
Responders transported the SUV driver to a hospital where she succumbed to death. However, the pickup driver received treatment for major injuries.
 
Police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time. However, an investigation into the accident and the details surrounding what happened is ongoing.
