1 Dead in Brewster Car Accident on Highway 97
BREWSTER, WA (October 24, 2019) – A person died in a fatal car accident on Highway 97 on October 22.
Authorities believed that the two-car accident is a possible vehicular homicide. In addition, the incident occurred around Highway 97 and Highway 17 around 9:30 a.m.
According to WSP Trooper John Bryant, an impaired driver caused the head-on accident.
“One individual was trapped in a vehicle that had rolled over,” Bryant said. “One of the drivers did, unfortunately, died at the scene.”
The crash shut down one lane. In addition, authorities controlled the traffic through the area much of the morning into early afternoon.
The identities of the people involved remain unreleased as of this time.
