Medical Helicopters Respond to Fatal Collision Near Buckhorn Summit Road
Humboldt County, CA (August 19, 2022) – On August 18, the authorities responded to a fatal big rig vs sedan collision on Highway 299.
Officers received the crash report at about 6:33 p.m. near Buckhorn Summit Road in Bridgeville.
Apparently, the small sedan was traveling at a fast speed when it collided with a big rig carrying water.
Responding officers say the big rig was fully engulfed in flames after the crash. Luckily, its driver was outside of the vehicle.
Moreover, two patients were reported. One of them sustained critical injuries while the other needed to be extricated.
Medical helicopters immediately responded to the scene.
In the meantime, officers are investigating the cause of the collision near Buckhorn Summit Road.
