Santa Ana, CA (July 4, 2023) On Monday afternoon, a fatal accident on North Ross Street claimed the life of a pedestrian trying to cross the street.

Santa Ana Police Department says that the deadly auto-pedestrian collision happened around 12:49 p.m. on the 200 block of North Ross Street.

First responders found a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say that the driver of the vehicle, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash.
