Fatal Accident on Highway 86 near Desert Shores Road [Thermal, CA]

Thermal, CA (February 15, 2022) On Monday evening, a fatal accident on Highway 86 was reported to the CHP.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the incident happened around 6:44 p.m. at Highway 86 near Desert Shores Road.

Moreover, a fatality was reported due to the crash, prompting the CHP to close both northbound lanes of the highway.

The lanes were closed up until 11 p.m. and there were no detours available.
