Car Crashes into Trees on 5 Freeway in Sacramento Leaving One Dead

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 1, 2019) – One person died following a fatal accident on 5 Freeway near 80 Freeway Thursday morning.
 
CHP officials responded to the scene after receiving reports of a car accident around 9:36 a.m. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle that had struck a fence and trees on the right shoulder. Firefighters pronounced one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
A coroner was called to pick up the victim’s remains and conduct a full report.
 
Further details, including the identity of the victim, were not immediately available. The crash remains under investigation.
