Fariba Azar Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash on Santa Ana Freeway [Los Angeles, CA]

Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Lorena Street Kills 56-Year-Old Man

Los Angeles, CA (February 29, 2024) Early Tuesday morning, 56-year-old Fariba Azar was killed in a horrific 3-vehicle Crash on the Santa Ana Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the multi-vehicle collision happened at about 2:43 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway near the Lorena Street off-ramp.

Reports say that 3 vehicles collided in the area. Moreover, officials say that a sedan crashed into a freeway embankment and burst into flames, and then another vehicle suffered front-end damages. Additionally, a big rig also sustained damage to one side of its trailer.

Authorities say that Azar was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not disclose if there were other injuries due to the crash.

CHP is investigating the fatal 3-vehicle collision and has not released further details at this time.
