Pedestrian Crash After Everett Silvertips Game in Downtown Everett on Hewitt and Rockefeller Avenues
EVERETT, WA (January 26, 2018) – Two pedestrians were hit by a car on Hewitt and Rockefeller Avenues in Downtown Everett near the Angels of the Winds Arena, around 10 PM on Friday night.
A husband and wife were walking on the crosswalk after leaving an Everett Silvertips game, when a vehicle going north on Rockefeller Ave at Hewitt hit them. The couple sustained injuries and was taken to the Providence Regional Medical Center. The driver, an elderly man, was also hospitalized after complaining about a medical issue, which may have been the cause of the accident.
Hewitt was shutdown between Oakes and Rockefeller avenues while an investigation took place and victims were taken for medical attention. Roads reopened at around 11:30 PM that same evening.
The husband was released from the hospital on Saturday, while his wife was transferred to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with non-life threatening injuries.
No other information has been provided by authorities at this time.
