John Guthrie Hurt in Disastrous Traffic Crash at Alice Avenue
Chelan County, TX (December 29, 2023) On Thursday morning, 67-year-old Eugene Royer of Leavenworth and 95-year-old John Guthrie of Dryden were hurt in a 2-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 2.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the 2-vehicle traffic crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 2 at Alice Avenue, west of Dryden.
Reports say that Guthrie turned left onto Alice (Avenue) right in front of Royer’s vehicle.
Officials cited John L. Guthrie for causing the accident, authorities say that he failed to yield the right-of-way.
Both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles, and were taken to the hospital minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the 2-vehicle crash and have not released further details at this time.
