Esteban Valdovinoz-Diaz Dead, 44-Year-Old Man Arrested in DUI Crash in Buena Park
BUENA PARK, CA (June 19, 2019) – A man died following a DUI pedestrian crash Wednesday evening in Buena Park, police said.
The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 7900 block of Artesia Boulevard near Marshall Avenue.
Buena Park Police Department officials responded to the scene and found the injured pedestrian lying on the roadway. Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries Thursday.
The victim was later identified as Esteban Valdovinoz-Diaz, 28, of Buena Park.
Meanwhile, the 44-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, but later released without being booked.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
