2 People Dead in Miramar Traffic Accident on Interstate 15 near Miramar Way

MIRAMAR, CA (March 17, 2024) – Saturday morning, Esteban Coronado and Joseph Michael Martin were arrested after a fatal DUI crash on Interstate 15.

The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. on Interstate 15 north of Miramar Way.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound Honda Civic rear-ended a Toyota 4-Runner for still unknown reasons. Then, a Chevrolet Colorado struck the Honda.

Moreover, responders pronounced two occupants of the Honda, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities arrested and booked the driver of the Honda, Coronado, 25, and the driver of the Chevrolet Colorado, Martin, 22, for DUI.

Meanwhile, the crash closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
