1 Person Hurt in Austin DUI Accident on US 290
AUSTIN, TX (June 3, 2023) – Wednesday night, authorities arrested Esau Zeferino-Acevedo after an alarming DUI crash on US 290.
According to the Austin Police Department, the incident happened at around 9:18 p.m. on eastbound US 290.
According to reports, an unidentified sedan collided with a marked deputy vehicle.
Moreover, responders transported the deputy to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Also, officers arrested the sedan driver, 34-year-old Zeferino-Acevedo, for drunk driving.
Furthermore, the crash blocked W US 290 in southwest Austin but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
