RUNNELS COUNTY, TX (February 19, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, Ernest Joe Rose III died in a devastating single-vehicle crash on FM 3115 near Miles.

The incident occurred at 2:26 p.m. on FM 3115, just 15 miles north of Miles, Texas.

According to reports, a Ford Explorer headed south on FM 3115. Then, the driver veered off the right side of the road and tried to take evasive action. Then, it steered back into the road, causing the Ford to go into a side skid and overturn.

Reports confirmed that the driver and passenger failed to wear their seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.

Both of them succumbed to injuries at the scene. occupants died in the crash. Officers identified the driver as 27-year-old Rose III from Bronte, Texas. The identity of the 15-year-old passenger remained undisclosed.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
