Erik Limon-Rodriguez and Others Injured in Alarming DUI Crash on Salinas Road [Salinas, CA]

1 Person Arrested in Salinas DUI Accident on Salinas Road near Elkhorn Road

SALINAS, CA (July 9, 2024) – Saturday night, Erik Limon-Rodriguez and others sustained injuries in an alarming DUI crash on Salinas Road.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Salinas Road near Elkhorn Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Infiniti veered into oncoming northbound traffic and collided head-on with a northbound Chevrolet. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Chevrolet to roll over onto its side.

Moreover, responders transported drivers and passengers, 4 from the Infiniti and 1 from the Chevrolet, to Salinas hospitals for treatment. Also, authorities confirmed that some of the passengers sustained major head, neck, and back injuries.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the Infinity, identified as 34-year-old Tristan Jeremy Madiclum Obligacion, for DUI. Also, officers determined the driver of the Chevrolet as 23-year-old Limon-Rodriguez who sustained unknown injuries in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
