Erick Segura and Alonso Franco Dead, 2 Others Injured in Tragic Crash on 75th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (December 15, 2024) – Erick Segura and Alonso Franco died and two others sustained injuries in a head-on crash on 75th Avenue.

Phoenix police reported that the collision occurred shortly after 1:45 a.m. near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Footage from the crash site revealed two heavily damaged vehicles. Investigators believe a 28-year-old driver was heading eastbound on Indian School Road when he tried to change lanes to avoid a slower-moving car. 

The driver reportedly oversteered, crossed into westbound traffic, and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The crash claimed the lives of two men in the second car, identified as 35-year-old Erick Segura and 37-year-old Alonso Franco. 

A 16-year-old boy in the same vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The 28-year-old driver of the first car suffered significant injuries and is recovering after undergoing multiple surgeries.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
