Eric Ray Martinez Dead in Hit-And-Run Crash on East Valencia [Tucson, AZ]

Police Search for Hir-And-Run Driver after Crash on East Valencia in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (July 24, 2023) – Monday morning, 35-year-old Eric Ray Martinez died in a hit-and-run crash on East Valencia and South Craycroft roads.

The fatal crash on East Valencia happened just after 5 a.m. on July 24.

The Tucson police said a vehicle struck a motorcycle and then left the scene. 

EMS took Martinez’s passenger to the Banner University Medical Center. 

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed Martinez, the driver, was dead at the crash scene.

Moreover, police said Martinez was wearing his helmet, he did not have a valid driver’s license, nor was he properly licensed to drive a motorcycle.

Investigators also found drugs and paraphernalia on Martinez, however, they are unsure whether he was under the influence.
