Eric Espinosa Injured, Robert Heether Arrested in State Route 17 Crash
Ephrata, WA (November 29, 2021) – On Saturday, 35-year-old Eric Espinosa of Soap Lake, and others sustained injuries while offices cited 63-year-old Robert Heether of Ephrata in a rear-end crash on State Route 17.
Officers said Heether on a 2018 Ford truck was northbound on the freeway. Apparently, he rear-ended a 2020 Toyota Corolla as Espinosa, the driver, slowed for stopped traffic.
As a result, the Toyota also rear-ended a 2021 Toyota Sienna minivan.
Right away, the paramedics rushed Espinosa to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
Similarly, the five occupants in the minivan, which included two young children, sustained injuries in the crash.
On the other hand, Heether did not suffer injuries. Officers cited him for failing to yield the right of way.
