62-Year-Old Eric Cox Arrested in Connecticut Street Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash [Imperial Beach, CA]

Imperial Beach, CA (August 16, 2024) – 62-year-old Eric Cox was arrested in a Connecticut Street deadly hit-and-run crash Wednesday night.

It was about 11 p.m. when the fatal crash happened in the 1100 block area, near Imperial Beach Boulevard.

Responding officers located a seriously injured female pedestrian on the ground. Immediately, the medical team provided life-saving procedures to the victim but she died at the scene.

Investigating officers determined that a red Chevrolet Camaro with a black racing pin stripe was likely involved in the collision.

Later on, the authorities located the vehicle in the 700 block of Oneonta Avenue and arrested the owner/driver, Eric Cox. on charges of manslaughter, felony driving under the influence with injury, and felony hit-and-run with great bodily injury/death.

They booked him into San Diego Central Jail.
