1 Person Arrested in Edinburg Motorcycle Accident on McColl Road and West Chapin Street

EDINBURG, TX (April 4, 2024) – Tuesday night, authorities arrested Enrique Moctezuma after an alarming hit-and-run crash on McColl Road and West Chapin Street.

The incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of McColl Road and West Chapin Street.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a motorcyclist, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, officers managed to locate the hit-and-run driver with the help of a witness who followed the suspect vehicle at a residence on the 2800 block of Jessica Drive. Then, authorities arrested the hit-and-run driver, Edinburg resident Moctezuma, 33, who will face multiple charges.

Furthermore, authorities said that the motorcyclist sustained unknown injuries and was treated with first aid at the scene.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Edinburg Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
