Dead Body Found on North Hollywood Embankment
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 7, 2019) – Wednesday morning, an unidentified man was found dead in a homeless encampment in the North Hollywood area.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 9:20 a.m., near the 12500 block of Saticoy Street.
Upon arrival, officers immediately located the deceased body on the upper side of an embankment. The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Enrique Garcia, of North Hollywood.
Moreover, it is still currently unknown whether Garcia had been struck by a vehicle or if there was another cause for his death.
Furthermore, the surrounding area was also closed off for a brief time while crews worked on collecting evidence. However, the area has since reopened.
In addition, the Los Angeles County Coroner was also called to the scene.
An investigation into what exactly caused the victim’s death is still underway. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the CHP at 323-644-9550.
