1 Dead in Oakdale Auto Accident on State Route 120 and Lancaster Road

 
OAKDALE, CA (January 12, 2023) – Saturday night, Enriqjames Wilson died in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 120 and Lancaster Road.
 
The incident happened at about 7:10 p.m. along State Route 120, east of Lancaster Road near Lover’s Leap.
 
According to reports, the solo vehicle crash led to the death of 23-year-old driver Enriqjames Wilson from Sonora. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office released his identity.
 
Reports said that Wilson drove a 2000 Audi westbound on Highway 120. Then, he crossed into the eastbound lane to pass another vehicle. Officers confirmed that Enriqjames Wilson traveled about 70 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
 
Wilson’s unsafe speed in the rainy conditions and with a wet roadway caused the Audi to go airborne and veer to the left. Thus, the vehicle steered off the road and rolled over.
 
Meanwhile, the impact ejected Wilson since he failed to wear his seatbelt. As a result, he sustained major injuries and responders took him to Doctors Medical Center via air ambulance. However, the driver succumbed to his injuries.
 
Also, officers confirmed that two passengers rode in the vehicle. Both of them wore their seatbelts and only suffered minor injuries. The passengers were a 27-year-old man from Sonora and a 19-year-old man, also from Sonora. Both of them required no hospitalization.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
