6-Year-Old Emory Conway Dies in Crash on Fort Lowell Road in Tucson

 
Tucson, AZ (December 4, 2021) – Saturday evening, a 6-year-old pedestrian identified as Emory Conway died in a crash on Fort Lowell Road.
 
The fatal crash in Tucson happened at around 3 p.m. on December 4.
 
Tucson Police responded to a reported serious injury crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of W. Ft. Lowell Road and N. Geronimo Avenue.
 
Authorities found a juvenile female in the roadway. EMS then took the girl to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but she later died.
 
Detectives determined that Conway was trying to cross Fort Lowell from north to south, while crossing, Conway and a family member had crossed into the multi-purpose center lane.
 
While in the center lane, Conway ran into the eastbound lanes and was hit by a gold 1994 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
 
Further investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
