Investigating officers said Emily Alaniz and Denise Gonzalez, were traveling in a 2006 Nissan Maxima on Pierce Road near Stagecoach Drive. The vehicle was traveling eastbound at an unsafe speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a metal pipe fence.

Neither of the two girls was wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.

In the meantime, officers are investigating the cause of the collision.

A GoFundMe was created for both of the victims to help families cover the cost of the funerals and other expenses.

Emily Alaniz and Denise Gonzalez Killed in Vehicle Crash

The traffic accident rate in Texas continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.

The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are becoming rampant. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.

As a matter of fact, according to the NHTSA, two out of three motorists will be involved in an accident during their life.

That is why it is vital to contact us if a loved one dies in a traffic accident.
