Emberlynn Cotton of Pottsboro Dies in US Highway 377 3-Car Crash [Whitesboro, TX]

Whitesboro, TX (June 26, 2024) On Sunday, 25-year-old Emberlynn Cotton of Pottsboro and several other people were hurt in a 3-car crash on US Highway 377.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal 3-vehicle crash happened on US Highway 377 at Bones Chapel Road.

Reports say that Cotton was driving a northbound vehicle when she rear-ended a vehicle that slowed down to turn left onto Bones Chapel Road. The impact of the crash sent Cotton’s vehicle into the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle.

Officials say that 2 people inside the rear-ended vehicle were Texoma Medical Center in critical condition, while a 3rd person and the driver of the rear-ended vehicle sustained non-serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating the deadly 3-vehicle crash and have not released additional information at this time.
