1 Dead in Long Beach Auto Accident on E Greenleaf Boulevard and Long Beach Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (December 15, 2024) – Friday afternoon, 75-year-old Elvira Cuellar died in a devastating crash on E Greenleaf Boulevard.
The incident happened at about 4:00 p.m. on E Greenleaf Boulevard and Long Beach Boulevard, north of the 91 Freeway.
Police said a 2009 Chevrolet HHR had made a left turn from East Greenleaf to go south on Long Beach Boulevard when it struck Cuellar, who had fallen in the marked crosswalk in the intersection.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Speed, distracted driving, and impaired driving did not appear to have contributed to the collision, police said.
