Elson Salgado Killed in West Los Angeles Crash on Interstate 405
Los Angeles, CA (August 25, 2020) – On Monday, 22-year-old Elson Salgado died when his car was involved in a crash on Interstate 405 in West Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol said that the 22-year-old man from Los Angeles was pronounced dead at the scene at about 4:05 a.m.
The crash happened on the Venice Boulevard offramp.
Consequently, authorities did not provide the victim’s name due to pending notification of his next of kin.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Los Angeles woman riding in the car, a 2008 Audi A4, sustained critically injuries. Rescuers took her to a hospital for immediate treatment.
CHP said, “The Audi was traveling at a high rate of speed and (the driver) was unable to negotiate the curve of the offramp.”
Lastly, CHP is still investigating the crash, they have issued a Siglaert that lasted until 11 a.m.
