One Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 41
Fresno, CA (April 13, 2022) – On Tuesday, an unidentified pedestrian died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 41 involving 19-year-old Elmer Villatorro of Fresno.
It was about 11 p.m. when the fatal crash happened north of Friant Road.
Officers say the unidentified pedestrian was crossing the highway’s northbound side when he was struck by a 2009 Cadillac driven by Villatorro.
The front driver’s side struck the pedestrian. The impact of the crash threw the pedestrian into the center divider.
Unfortunately, the victim died in the accident.
Meanwhile, Villatorro and his 17-year-old passenger did not sustain injuries from the collision. Officers say they were wearing seatbelts when the incident took place. They are cooperating with the officers’ investigation.
