Driver Killed in Apple Springs Two-Vehicle Crash
Trinity County, TX (August 8, 2024) – Elliot Hernadez, 50, of Lufkin, was injured in a deadly crash on FM 357 Monday morning.
It was about 9:12 a.m. when the fatal crash happened near FM 2501 in Apple Springs.
Troopers said a southbound Ford Edge driven by Mandy Pullin, 44, of Apple Springs, crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck a GMC van driven north by Hernadez.
Mandy Pullin was transported to Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, where she was declared deceased.
Elliott was taken to St. Luke’s Health-Memorial with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers are investigating this collision.
