1 Dead in Scottsdale Motorcycle Accident near Miller Road and McKellips Road
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (September 3, 2024) – Saturday morning, a Elliot Carter killed in horrific motorcycle crash near Miller Road and McKellips Road.
The crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck happened at about 9:20 a.m. near Miller Road and McKellips Road.
According to police reports, 36-year-old Carter was riding his motorcycle westbound on McKellips Road near Miller Road when he ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck in the intersection.
Carter, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later passed away. The two occupants of the pickup truck were not seriously injured. Authorities do not believe that speed or impairment contributed to the accident.
Furthermore, the intersection was closed in all directions for several hours while crews cleared the scene, but it reopened around 1 p.m.
