Elkland Resident Harold Williams Dies in Collision on US 65 [Springfield, MO]

Springfield, MO (September 26, 2024) – Harold Williams, 79, of Elkland, was killed in a wrong-way crash on US 65 Tuesday night.

It was about 9:50 p.m. when the fatal crash happened north of Springfield.

Troopers said Williams was southbound in the northbound lanes and struck a vehicle head-on.

The driver of the other vehicle incurred serious injuries.

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating the fatal collision.
