Elizabeth Rafferty Dead in Tucson Pedestrian Accident
TUCSON, AZ (November 28, 2019) – A 57-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Broadway Boulevard on November 22.
The authorities came just after 5:30 p.m. on Broadway Boulevard and Pantano Road. When they arrived, Tucson Fire rendered aid. However, pedestrian Elizabeth A. Rafferty died due to her injuries.
According to investigators, Elizabeth Rafferty crossed Pantano going east to west in the 100 Block of North Pantano Road. In addition, Rafferty wore dark clothes and there are no crosswalks in the area.
While Rafferty crossed the road, a northbound silver 2016 Kia SUV approached in the curb lane and hit her.
The SUV’s driver remained at the scene. Authorities also confirmed that the driver did not show signs of impairment or didn’t drive at a high speed. However, the authorities are still investigating the crash.
