64-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed by Two Vehicles on Brokaw Road near North First Street
SAN JOSE, CA (January 4, 2018) – A Fresno has been identified as the pedestrian killed last month in San Jose. The man was struck by a car and survived, but was struck again and died while he was calling for help.
The victim was identified as 64-year-old Elias Nasrallah who was reportedly crossing Brokaw Road near North First Street around 5:30 AM. Nasrallah was first hit by the passenger-side mirror of a 2003 Toyota Corolla.
According to San Jose Police, he fell and called 911 but was hit by a second car while he was on the line with dispatchers. Nasrallah was rushed to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation. Police stated that the victim was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident and was wearing dark clothing when he was hit. Authorities have generally determined that drugs or alcohol were not involved. Roads were blocked as officials investigated and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital.
