Homeless Man Elias Johnson Dies in Western Avenue Collision [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (January 2, 2023) – Elias Johnson, a 26-year-old homeless man, lost his life in a Western Avenue collision Monday night.

It was before 11 p.m. when a northbound car on Western Avenue ran into Johnson who was crossing the street near 247th Place in Lomita. 

The victim was also struck by two cars while lying on the road both of which also fled from the scene. 

Unfortunately, Elias Johnson was declared deceased at the scene by the LAFD paramedics. 

Officers are investigating the Western Avenue collision.
