1 Hurt in San Francisco Vehicle Collision on Cortland Avenue
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 28, 2020) – Monday afternoon, an electric scooter rider suffered injuries in a crash on Cortland Avenue.
The authorities responded before 1:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle crash. The incident took place on Cortland Avenue and Prospect Avenue. Upon their arrival, they located the driver and the injured electric scooter rider.
Officer Tiffany Hang revealed that the rider in his 30s or 40s was transported to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation. Moreover, he didn’t show signs of impairment.
However, the police said that they detained the driver the next day and the investigation is ongoing.
If you feel yourself drifting into other lanes due to fatigue or any other reason, safely pull over and rest before continuing to drive. You can also call a friend or an Uber to pick you up if you feel like it would be unsafe to drive.
Ways to Deal with Auto Accidents
Each year, around 20-50 million people are injured or become disabled due to an auto crash. To avoid suffering from such incidents, practice safe driving habits on the road at all times.
As a driver, it’s your responsibility to do it even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make, say, a complete stop.
Even with the best driving habits, it is still important to know what to do if you find yourself in a motor vehicle accident
Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers says, “The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery. At the same time, they will secure your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.”
