Injuries Reported in San Diego Auto Accident on 6000 Mission Gorge Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 5, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, an alarming electric scooter crash on 6000 Mission Gorge Road injured 1 person.
Reports said that the incident occurred at 3:40 p.m. on the east sidewalk of 6000 Mission Gorge Road.
According to a statement from the San Diego Police Department, a 39-year-old man was riding a scooter south on the sidewalk when it collided with a 65-year-old woman driving an Acura MDX through a parking lot on Mission Gorge Road.
The impact left the scooter rider with an open fracture to his left tibia and fibula, though his injuries were not deemed life-threatening.
The woman driving the Acura was unharmed.
The SDPD Traffic Division is currently investigating the incident.
